COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on the classic summer wheat beer...it’s a light, crisp ale for mowing lawns, hitting lazy fly balls and communing with nature. Glowing like brilliant rays of golden sun, its malty sweetness finishes tart and crisp. Hocus Pocus is best appreciated with a wedge of orange. Offered as a sacrifice to cloudless days.

Pours a copper color with a decent off white head. Smells of wheat, lemons, hay, fresh cut grass. Tastes of lemons and chewable vitamins.

Bottle and served in weizen glass: First bad news in that it pours crystal clear with a quickly fading fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma is light wheat and pale malt, some lemongrass and herbs, and a hint of DMS and buttery vapours. The taste is simple mild doughy malts with just a touch of fruity acidity and some diacetyl. The mouth feel is sprite and watery with a thin body. Yet another piss poor American Wheat Ale, pass.

"yet another non-descript entry into the american wheat catergory. average across the board...non-offensive...not complex or intruiging. pretty much what i expected

Bottle: Straw color, fairly clear, thin sudsy white head, fairly decent lacing, light carbonation.   Pale wheaty nose, slight citrus zing, seems semi-sweet, a little musty or barnish as well.   Sweet grass/straw on the tongue, tangy, minor sweetness, but falls off fairly quickly.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Semi-sweet wheaty finish, but its fairly soft and subtle.   Clean, but not as big as its counterparts.   Needs more umph.   Thanks Dan!

(Rating #604)

Bottle (12oz). And I promised myself no more goddam american wheat swill. Pale slightly hazy gold, decent bright white head. Aroma of light sweet grain and dried flower hops, a hint of fruit and yeast, but not much at all. Taste of light candy malt, a little sour grain, mild yeast and candied citrus fruit - sort of hard to swallow for some reason. Thickish, still body, sticky mouthfeel - weird, not awful, won’t have it again.

Bottle: Crystal clear and mellowly yellow with a thin but withstanding head of white foam. Sweet aroma. The drink is syrupy sweet, with a twist of honey and even green tea ... very mellow drinker even for an Amerian wheat. (#2842, 5/6/2007)

Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a white head. Wheat, citrus, floral grassy hop character with no alcohol in the finish. eh.

Gold color with a small white head. Toasty wheat, and a light caramel malt aroma. Wheaty, light citrus taste. Rather weak mouthfeel.

Bottle from the Summer variety pack. Blond bodied with a small white head. Lemon zest, soft wheat and yeast make up the aroma. taste is lemony and tart with some yeast and hop bitterness and strong wheat notes. Body is light-medium and well carbonated. Dry in spots as well. Ends with more lemon, strong grains (wheat), and yeast with softer hops. Not too horrible, considering I hate American Wheats.
