Whoa, rather intense intro written up above. Love the name though... just seeps into your body and rectifies your soul as you drink it. Tastes like roses and chocolate. Nice dark color for an amber. Not too heavy. My favorite Magic Hat, most likely, and a great experience to drink.

Out of the bottle itís merely very tasty. On tap with the creamy finish itís absolutely heavenly. I suppose more cascade hops couldnít hurt but find a bar that serves it on tap and youíll have a tough time leaving. By far the best of the magic hats.

The first time I had Humble Patience was on tap, and I absolutely loved it. Great creamy texture, great musky flavor. It has a nice hop quality to it, but isnít very bitter. In the bottle is a disappointment. If you look at the bottled version in and of itself, it isnít a bad beer. However, it pales in comparison to the tap version.

An excellent Irish-style red ale -- superb appearance and flavour. Nice hints of coffee and background earthiness. As an Ontario I promise never to touch Rickardís Red again!

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2003 I"ve always liked Irish reds, and this one is no exception. A nice, well-balanced beer, with plenty of body, but not too heavy or bitter, more malty than hoppy. Bob"s 1st is Bob"s best, I happen to think.

red-brown colour, fine head, hazelnut aroma, some sourness followed by a long, deep chocolate and spicy finish - rich and quite subtile
