black and smokey as well as chalky brew with decent sweetish hint of cocoa and even less so caramel. moderate body making this a bit like a cigar that has been in your mouth and unlit for an hour ... with a dash of salt.

Bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown with a moderate tan head. Nose is definitely very smokey, which is awesome. Tastes dark and malty, and with a great amount of smoke. Very light and easy for something based off a porter. I like it.

Not bad for magic hat but not that great on the style, smokey and light bodied. Hint of rust or metallic after taste, not for me

Pours a black color with a medium beige head. Average aroma of slightly smoked and roasted malt. Average flavor of smoked and roasted malt with a mild bitter finish. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, but very forgetable.

A great toasty porter with smoky overtones. A nice hearty pour that I suspect would be outstanding with BBQ or just on the deck with a maduro cigar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
