| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2007 Pours ruby-hued amber with a small bubbly tan head. Aroma is light overall with a caramel sweet overtone, a hint of hops, and something that resembles smokiness. Flavor is similar to the aroma, but with a corny sweetness, and no real woody or smoky notes that I could detect. Palate is medium and watery, but soft and fairly pleasant. Not bad at all, but as with most of my other experiences with this brewery, just not a whole lot going on here. Beerman6686 (1280), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Medium body, medium taste until the smokiness kicks in near the end. Doesn’t taste like a sausage unlike some smoked beers, very nice. Tmoney99 (4713), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Bottle from Party Source. Poured clear brown with an average brown frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate woody floral hop aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Medium sweet smoke flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. tronraner (1911), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Bottle, shared by NachlamSie. Pours hazy amber brown with thin beige head. The aroma is some neutral hops and caramel malt, maybe some dark spiciness. The flavor is caramel sweetness at first, then gets an ever so slight woody and planty bitterness. The peat comes out some in the finish, but remains pretty secondary overall. Decent. NachlamSie (1637), Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bottle split with Tronraner. Pours a deep amber with a small tan head. The aroma brings to mind "generic". I’m not sure what it is, something about the common malt- hop combination, but it’s rather non-descript. I get just regular caramel, wood, beery type stuff in the nose. Nothing bad, though. The flavor allows more of this peat to come out. This is not a very smoky beer at all, but the finish does have rewarding hints at a cigar and a fine smoky scotch. I do not get much meat or bacon, rather, from this. Just some silky smoky flavors. This is a very subtle smoked beer and appropriate for the fall time, but not extraordinary. This pairs well with BBQ. Acknud (772), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
