Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

this one was quite good...pours ruddy brown with medium beige head..aroma of smoke, heavy chocolate, and touches of peanut...body is quite similar (very porter-esque) with more of an emphasis on the smoke..body has touches of spice; mildy bitter finish...nice

Pours a deep bronze body with light carbonation under a fleeting, almost-tan head. Enjoyable aroma rings of an Old Ale/Scotch Ale rather than a smoked. Some peat and moldy leaves; pralines in a musty crawlspace, drizzled in caramel; alcohol lurks. Thin flavors are a let-down. A mouthful of peat and earth isn’t as appealing as a noseful of the same. Mild fruity sweetness and a kick of scotch & water. This isn’t bad, I’m just wishing it was fuller in body and more bold in flavor.

Pours a deep brown with a small white head. Aroma is of licorice, with wheat and earth notes. Taste is very smooth with spicy notes mingling with the wheat and earth characteristics. A solid seasonal, nothing special but good.

Brown orange body, creamy beige head; Quite big nose, peated malt, caramel, chestnut creme, some red berries; Huge big bubbled carbonation in soft textured a bit thin bitter sweet body, unbalanced; Thick sweetness in quite long finish, strange caramel sweetness, smoked aromas. Very strange beer. Thanks Hopscotch.

gets points for originality. thinnish astringent type brew settles some in the glass. earthy sweetish licorice flavor that is light. the smokiness is decently infused into the concoction, but i kept thinking ’"liquid smoke". little bit peppery with another spice as well. gets a point or two since it clearly is a good beer with strongly spiced subtle (vegetables) asian type food. it competes well in that area.
