Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

Bottled. Not a bad beer. Good malt taste all the way through. Could have been a little more ’smokey’.

12 fl bottle. Hazy reddish brown color with creamy tan head. Sweet and parfumy aroma with toffee, caramel, melon and cristmas cake. Sweet and mellow flavor wit toffee and caramel. Bisquity and sweet finish. Unpleasantly sweet.

Bottle. Pours a huge head with small activity happening. Taste is very malty but missing alot. Warming it up lets the woodiness come alive but in the end it didn’t do that much for me.

The body’s a dark chestnut and it sports a creamy yet bubbly beige head. Smoked? Perhaps, but the aroma of smoke translates more into a woodiness blended with a light roasted malt smell. The flavor’s mainly lightly roasted malts, the mild smoke finally emerging lightly in the finish. Not bad, but I’m more of a rauchbier kind of a guy.

Pours dark brown with an uneven rocky tan head. The aroma has dark toasted malt and peat smoke with hints of cream and vanilla. Medium / full bodied beer that is quite smooth and has soft carbonation. The taste has lots of smoke flavor, but not the harsh meaty smoke like others. There is also heavily toasted malt and light hop spiciness on the finish. The carbonation gets sharper further done. Also as it warms there is a bit of sourness on the finish. While not my style, this seemed quite enjoyable for being a smoked beer.

Interesting, very lightly smoked flavor with lots of rich malt and just a tiny hint of hops. Not bad.
