Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

I think this is the first smoked I’ve ever had. The smoke flavor comes out in the after taste. Tastes and feels alot like a english pale ale then comes the smoke. Not a good brew.

Aroma starts off pretty smoky with the massive, creamy head this thing pours, but dissappears into pretty much nothingness once the head is gone. Flavor is extremely malty, kind of like a creamy cookie. Pretty robust flavor, quite nice.

On tap@ Brew City. Ok nose, Lite chocolate, Smokey, woody, moldy, peaty. Clean orangy dark brown color, Good head that faded quickly. Roasty flavors Like aroma with some citrus, lime/grapefruit. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, sweet, little zingy, finish. Nice beer, thoough served too cold. Thought I got a wheat thing though I don’t see any other comment on that. Nice beer IMO

Enjoyed at a Halloween party last weekend. One of the best Magic Hats I’ve had in a while. Smoked peat on the nose. The flavor with strong smoke, maybe too much, but it had more flavor and body that most M.H.

10/28/05 - Pours brown, tough to see through it. Smells and tastes of peat, grass, smoke, and malt. This was kind of nasty but I liked it too. Very unique brew indeed.

Hazey brown pour with a very small head...not a lot of carbonation here. Aroma is grassy. Taste is malty as hell...sour throughout. Not bad.
