Tastes and feels alot like a english pale ale then comes the smoke. Not a good brew. puzzl (2601), New York, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Aroma starts off pretty smoky with the massive, creamy head this thing pours, but dissappears into pretty much nothingness once the head is gone. Flavor is extremely malty, kind of like a creamy cookie. Pretty robust flavor, quite nice. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

Smoked peat on the nose. The flavor with strong smoke, maybe too much, but it had more flavor and body that most M.H. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells and tastes of peat, grass, smoke, and malt. This was kind of nasty but I liked it too. Very unique brew indeed. thehinge (244), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Aroma is grassy. Taste is malty as hell...sour throughout. Not bad.
