Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

This is a smoked? Seriously? WTF. Darkish pour, kind of spicey fruity aroma. Taste has decent alcohol and a bit of hops, the fruity flavor almost becomes sickly sweet, seeming kind of fake.

Pours a not so attractive clear brown color with a thick off-white head and very good lacing. Mostly malty aroma with a hint of smoke. Same goes with the flavor, my love for smokey things sort of saves this one but it’s not really smokey enough for my taste.

When you read a Magic Hat label you can never really figure out what style the beer actually is. Smoked beer it is! Quickly diminished foam, solid amber body and malts sweetness come through.

Poured amber, with a large foamy whipped cream like head. Smells malt like and Smokey. Ahh. I like this, It is crisp and complex. There is a lingering smoke to the nasal passages and good sweetness as well. Not a huge magic hat fan, but thanks to Rich, I found a pleasant surprise.

Bottle. Roasty, malty flavors. Slight burnt flavors make this drink excellent. Great undertones of caramel. Very refreshing.
