Jan 26, 2009 while this beer does have a nice appearance and a solid mouth feel, the rest is lackluster. the malts are solid, but the hop while bitter are too astringent and not too clean tasting. the finish is what makes this not what it could be.

Jan 24, 2009 The aroma is malty and hoppy with caramel malt, citrus, and hay. The appearance is amber with a nice head of average size. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter, butter finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a nice IPA that has no real faults but noting much about it stands out as superb either.

Jan 23, 2009 Pours amber with a bit of off white head. Average amount of hops in the nose with a bit of toasted malts. This beer tastes fine. plenty of floral type hop flavor and bitterness. Good and malty. But really, its just not up to par with most.

Jan 22, 2009 copper pour with a nice white head - aroma is hops - taste is slightly hops with another flavor I can’t pin down. Reminds me of the Founders Red Rye - just not as good. Has a good flavor and is very drinkable.

Jan 22, 2009 Copper pour with a thin tan head. Bready/earthy aroma with some caramel. Very nearly full bodied. Spicy, perhaps rye as others have mentioned, flavor. There are some earthy hops. Slghtly metallic on the back end. An interesting ’sweetness’ like most of this breweries offerings. this one is pretty good.

Jan 20, 2009 Pours an orange amber color with a thin off white head. Aroma is citrus but with an undertone of something else I could not put my finger on - it almost smelled musty. Decent flavor but not nearly as clean and hoppy as most IPAs I enjoy. This one tries to be a little different I think and something was just missing for my tastes. Not a bad beer but not the best IPA I have had either.

Copper. Long, soapy head. Aroma: Earth, citris. Flavor: Earthy hops, citris. Bitter finish. Average for an IPA. Somehow, it lacks identity. Good but not the "Cats Meow".

Jan 17, 2009 330 mL. Pours a clear dark orange with a fluffy off-white head that settles down to a thin layer but leaves some very nice lacework. Aromas of rye bread, biscuity malts, English hops, some skunky citrus. Taste is rye bread with biscuit. Oily mouth coating. Long, bitter finish. This would be an excellent rye ale but is labeled as an IPA. Not even close. If this is an IPA then it is the absolute worst I have ever tasted in my life.
