dkachur (2319), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Dec 30, 2008 12 ounce bottle courtesy of beerbill. Thanks! Best by July 2008.
Pours a slightly hazy bronze color with a medium head. Decent
head retention and lacing. Very fruity hop aroma, especially
grapefruit and green apple. Taste is very bitter with grapefruit
and other hop notes as well as a hint of toffee. Medium bodied. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Dec 29, 2008 This beer really got me thinking about how pathetic it is that a company’s image can be dedicated to individuality while the actual substance that they sell is so mainstream and bland. This is a very clear orange beer with a touch of white head. Earthy and grassy hop aroma. Caramel and flowery hops in the taste. Very watery and very bland. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 29, 2008 Seemed like your average IPA to me. Had a decent hop aroma, not much flavor at first, but gives a bit of a hop presence at the end. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 26, 2008 Bottle... Poured orange-ish with a white head--nice lacing. Earthy aroma of fruit and floral hops. Flavors of wood grains and hops. Very subtle and not over bearing. Finished with a caramel sweetness and maybe biscuits. jimmay (179), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Dec 26, 2008 12 oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours deep orange/copper. Slightly off-white head. Good body, lots of flavour. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 17, 2008 Pours a clean orange body with a small but foamy white head with some sticky lacing. The aroma has some nice sweet clementine orange notes going with some earthy caramel malts. the flavor starts with some dusty tasting citrusy hops followed up with some mild caramel and tea notes with a very bready finish. Not bad. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Dec 11, 2008 Bottle received in trade from ROBORB. Thanks!
Pours a nice rich orange color with a medium lived beige head. Smell is earthy, dusty and lightly citrusy hops and malt. Taste is dry, dusty and earthy bitterness from the hops and a hint of sweetness pokes through. Very earthy and dry though for the most part with a light orange citrusy quality. Good body with slightly high fizzy carbonation. Pretty solid IPA overall. Thanks! MtStateBeer (75), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA Dec 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours an orange-amber color with a large frothy white head, good lacing. Aroma is mainly hops; floral, grapefruit, and resin. There is also some fruit and caramel malts. Taste is good, caramel malts, sweet and buttery, mainly a resin hop flavor with some grapefruit. Light to medium body with a fairly bitter finish. Decent beer, drinkable.
