Nov 26, 2008 Bottle... Lightly hazed golden/orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Breadsy, black tea and mild grapefruit nose. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with prickly carbonation. Medium black tea and grapefruit bitterness barely outshines moderate toffee and biscuit sweetness. Nov 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours brown-copper with sticky beige head. The aroma is earthy and spicy hops, some caramel, a weird tar note, and rotting pine. The flavor is dusty bitterness, stale crystal malt, cigarette butts, and zinc. Dry, dirty finish. Not particularly good.

Oct 25, 2008 Clear amber/orange with thick head that leavestons of lace. Flowery /light woody hoppy aroma. Taste opens up with herby, grassy hops and a little roasted caramel malt. Finishes with an herby bitterness. Muh more malty than hoppy for an ipa, but good.

Oct 22, 2008 (bottle - 12 oz) Orange pour with a puffy off-white head. Aroma is floral and hoppy with some bitterness mixed in. Some grass and a very light malt to it as well. Flavor begins with a nice hop burst followed by a grassy and flowery middle and a finish of light spices, some citrus, and a hop bitterness. Bitterness lingers for a bit then goes away leaving a crisp taste. Very nice.

Oct 21, 2008 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a medium orange color with a very little amount of alabaster bubbles. Aroma is of light grains, light fruits, grass and caramel notes. Taste is of light grains well blended with grassy hops, spice and light fruits. Medium bodied and crisp, with ample carbonation. Ending is of spice and caramel notes.

Hazy amber color, nice lace. Strong earthy aroma, medium mouthfeel, dry caramel flavor, reasonable hopping. It’s like a crossover between an English IPA (bitter but not as much as an American one and without fruity/resiny hops) and a good English Bitter (the earthy hops).
