Aug 5, 2008 12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Amber pour topped by a quarter inch of off-white foam. Smells of bread and citrus. Sweet citrus flavor, some caramel, and a bit of mango. Slightly cloying. Would make a nice session IPA.

Aug 4, 2008 12 fl. oz. bottle via Lubiere, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Medium-deep copper with a good light tan meringue.
Aroma: Nutty, caramel malt, some resinous hops, lightly floral and perfumey, cherries and other berries in back.
Palate: Medium body, soft and sparse carbonation.
Flav.: Some caramel, some earthiness, a bit peppery, a bit of dark dried fruit and brown sugar, light nuttiness; dry with a very slight tang, decent bitterness, with a slightly malty and peppery finish.
Certainly not an American-style IPA, I don’t think. I’m more a cat person than a dog person, but this kitty didn’t purr for me.

Good hoppy IPA, kind of a grassy hops taste and almost a little medicinal flavor. Would not buy again

Well balanced, but I like to be able to discern different hops, malts etc in my IPA’s, decent brew, but not what I look for in an IPA.

Jul 29, 2008 Cloudy light brown color. Nice thick head that goes down slowly. Strong yeasty aroma. Taste is somewhat hoppy. Slight sweetness. Yeasty. Bitter finish. Alright indeed.

Jul 15, 2008 Pours copper into the glass with a white head. Aroma is nice and pine-ilke with some malt sweetness coming through. Flavor is almost woody at first with a lot of citrus tang coming on the back end.

Jul 11, 2008 12 oz bottle from Buy-Rite of Howell drank at Spiegelfest ’08 or as I like to call it my most embarassing day ever. Poured a honey amber with a large off white frothy head. Typical IPA aroma, lots of citrus, some floral hops, grains and caramel malts. Smooth easy drinking with a medium body and medium carbonation. Flavor of bitter citrus rind, light floral hops and grains. Good beer especially from Magic Hat but could use a little more hops. Solid none the less.

Jul 9, 2008 12 oz. Clear copper with a small head. Earthy resin and slight citrus aroma. Flavor is earthy marshmallow and molasses, grapefruit, with a woody-resin and nutty finish. Light body is dry and tingly.
