The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The yummy flavor contained notes of malt hops and caramel. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. hershiser2 (910), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-red, small head. Smells of aluminum and grasses... no hint of citrus or pine. Flavor of citrus fruit, pine, and some spice. Surprising since I sensed none of that in the nose. Not bad... pine lingers. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2009 (Bottle (best by end 7/08 - oops I’m a little late) from Lou’s Beverage Barn) Pours fairly hazy but bright amber with three fingers of lightly amberish-biege head that slowly recede to a foamy cap. Aroma of pine and light grapefruit over some caramel-vanilla-egg. Mouthfeel fairly smooth and nicely thick for an IPA. Heavy foamy broken rings and sheets pf lacing. Flavor of medium pine and grapefruit hoppiness over a nice fairly rich malt base of caramel, egg and vanilla, along with hints of fruitiness. Medium bitterness overlays and provides a nice pinch in the finish. A nice meaty IPA. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
