| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours copper with a good beige head. Aromas of bready malt and floral mixed with pine and citrus. Medium plus body with creamy/frothy carbonation. Flavor burns with hop, and there is roasted malt backbone. For some reason the combo seems grapey. Finish is bitter. There’s a lot of hop, but its not harsh. Really quite a treat. DaSilky1 (1970), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Sharp, grapefruity nose, with hints of lemon. Amber color, very lacey head. Biscuity malts over somewhat sale, lemony hops combine overall pretty subdued. Body is medium, not too thin, not too thick though malts seem a bit syrupy and the hops too subdued for this to be seriously taken as an ipa. Swalden28 (1449), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a amber with orange hues, nice beige head. Aroma of some caramel, nuts, malt, little floral, some hoppy citrus. Flavor doesn’t have much going on here, faint caramel, some pine, decent bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, it smelled a hell of alot better then the taste. Flavor was just too weak for an IPA. rustychiles (1026), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a slightly hazed reddish brown with a white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread and a touch of hops. Flavor is malt, hops, lemony grass, pine. Bitter finish. Decent IPA. jarndyce (38), Idaho, USA

This might be the best beer in the worst package design I’ve ever seen. The strange graphic design distracts from a solid IPA. Huge lemon nose upfront. Lemon taste blends nicely to a vanilla/cherry finish. Slightly bitter. Fire the graphic designer immediately. morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2009 12 oz. single bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Poured a nice amber color with a bit of white head. Aroma is bread and some hops and a bit of citrus. Taste is malty with some of the usual IPA notes and a hops finish. Nice beer. alexsdad06 (1080), Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Pours a clear amber color with a large off white head. The aroma is toasted bread with some citrus and pine hops. A bit of cattiness also shows up. The flavor is bready/biscuity malt with some caramel thrown in. Hops tend to the citrus and pine side with a slight floral quality. Some bitterness to the finish. This was decent, but unfortunately followed an unbelievable bottle of Westy 8. wingman333 (239), San Antonio, Texas, USA
