| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Deep orange with a brown hint, clear, slight head. Aroma was of dirty hops and caramel malt. Flavor was sweetish malts with a vegetal hop profile that I simply didn’t care for, bitter finish. Sort of a strange toasted note as well in there that was out of place with the rest of the beer. I’m really striking out big time with Magic Hat these days. cazort (413), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 (Bottle) Clean and crisp for an IPA--I find many American IPA’s are too heavy or have an objectionable quality to the hops, and this one isn’t. Exciting? Maybe, maybe not. I think this is a solid IPA. SFLpunk (132), South Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2009 12oz brown glass pry-top. Dated BB June 2009.
Appearance: Beautiful bright amber with a slight haze and thick, foamy off-tan head that leaves lots of lacing. Looks like rootbeer float head.
Nose: Some caramel/biscuit malty goodness, smells very British. There’s a hint of tar and some tobacco too. Not a lot of hop presence.
Palate: Medium- to light-bodied with some crisp hop-leaves up front. Bitterness goes in and out of a body that goes watery from sip to sip. Light biscuit, hints of caramel/munich malt. Finish has some dusty leafy hops but fades rapidly and ends quickly.
Notes: Not what I’d call a great IPA. Definatly leans British in it’s origins and that ringwood yeast doesn’t stay hidden. Greatly prefer the Hi.P.A. from them.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2009 very light-hearted and very mellow. some light cascade hops, some dark er.carmel notes, and some orange flavors with a little grapefruit. Lots of hops but I wish it were a little more well-rounded out for me, as right now I feel like it will give me heartburn forever. urgh. kddewees (33), Muncie, Indiana, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Copper colored pour with a big. frothy, off-white head that slowly fades to a nice lacing. Lightly toasted caramel malt aroma with a hint of citrus and pine. Mild chalky, toasted nut flavor with a little bit of orange, grapefruit and pine. Creamy, medium-full body with soft carbonation. Not a bad beer but pretty forgettable. ljay6880 (135), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 18, 2009 12 OZ bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pour was a light amber with a thin amount of white head. Nose was very bland as the only discernable aroma was faint hops. Taste was also bland, and the only noticeable aspect was the hop bitterness. While I am not big on IPAs, this was one of the more unenjoyable examples I have tried in this style. ononews9 (25), Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA
