bitter grapefruit rind (pith) taste. fragrance of nice hops a touch of a hop like perfume that seems genuine. different it is refreshing on the tip and mid palate eeehhh nice enough but that pith chalky and overly bitter taste in the back of the throat seems interesting at times but more so annoying. in addition a ballsy load of quality barley malt that is woody, tasty and brave indeed or, necessary to establish better balance. there is a fruity taste in there that is punchy and adequate altogeather different... and yes muzzle peppery.

12 oz bottle from cabrown. Okay IPA, but nothing special. Not as hoppy or bitter as I expected.

12 fl. oz. bottle via Lubiere, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Medium-deep copper with a good light tan meringue. Aroma: Nutty, caramel malt, some resinous hops, lightly floral and perfumey, cherries and other berries in back. Palate: Medium body, soft and sparse carbonation. Flav.: Some caramel, some earthiness, a bit peppery, a bit of dark dried fruit and brown sugar, light nuttiness; dry with a very slight tang, decent bitterness, with a slightly malty and peppery finish.

Certainly not an American-style IPA, I don’t think. I’m more a cat person than a dog person, but this kitty didn’t purr for me.

This is my least favorite IPA that Magic Hat offers. They need to bring back Blind Faith!

Bottle. Pours clear red orange with a medium sized head. Aroma is highly floral; flavor levels quite nicely on that same note. Enough sweetness to make this beer widely accessible, but bitter enough to remind you it is an IPA. A good effort from Magic Hat.

Bottle courtesy of Avengedpoet. Pours a slightly hazed reddish brown with a white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, bread and a touch of hops. Flavor is malt, hops, lemony grass, pine. Bitter finish. Decent IPA.

IPA? Meh. Watery, astringent, cloying, yet bland. This beer is lame; I used to expect a lot from Magic Hat when I was first getting into craft beer, but this is pathetic.

Dark orange color, thin head. Pine forest aroma. Resiny palate, chewy, bitter, hits you right away with the hoppiness. Classic IPA.
