| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Pours an orange amber color with a thin off white head. Aroma is citrus but with an undertone of something else I could not put my finger on - it almost smelled musty. Decent flavor but not nearly as clean and hoppy as most IPAs I enjoy. This one tries to be a little different I think and something was just missing for my tastes. Not a bad beer but not the best IPA I have had either. RHeastings (438), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Experienced from a 12oz bottle. As with seemingly all of Magic Hat’s products, you actually have no idea what style the beer is until you check it on RateBeer. I certainly would not have called it an IPA. Hops were detectable in the nose, but more toward the APA than IPA end of the spectrum. The palate was pleasant but simple, again giving no evidence that the beer was an IPA. Initially, I was fairly sure it was a Bohemian Pilsner. The finish was medium to medium dry. Overall, inoffensive but ultimately forgettable. graham515 (437), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Pours copper into the glass with a white head. Aroma is nice and pine-ilke with some malt sweetness coming through. Flavor is almost woody at first with a lot of citrus tang coming on the back end. TheOrange (421), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 16, 2009 The pour is amber a touch opaque, with a small yellow tinged head. The aroma is light and mildly hoppy. The beer is tainted with too much carbonation, but the hop is nice and sharp. the finish is slower then most IPA’s, with pine and floral notes. An OK beer. I picked it up in winter sampler from Magic Hat....I generally think of IPA’s as spring/summer beers. cazort (421), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 (Bottle) Clean and crisp for an IPA--I find many American IPA’s are too heavy or have an objectionable quality to the hops, and this one isn’t. Exciting? Maybe, maybe not. I think this is a solid IPA. WVHouseofBeer (397), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 22, 2009 Had a nice floral hop aroma. There wasn’t much flavor going on here, it had a little bit of a metallic taste to it. It was an okay brew, but not one of the better Magic Hats. patrickfannon (384), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of spice, ginger, citrus, and hints of malt. Medium bodied with a crisp, clean finish. Average IPA. CUJO (379), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2009 bottle: weizen: pours an orange amber, high pour bubbles leaving 1 finger of off white head. Mild florals, plenty of bitters on the nose. First taste had some young fruits, maybe citrus... however that disappeared as I drank on. Finish was mostly bitter, dry, slightly metallic... very average brew.
