IPA...India Pale Ale? Imperial Pale Ale? The IRRESISTIBLE Pale Ale with the big hop bite! A deep golden IPA with a firm malt body, finishing with a big hop aroma. Beer Kitty, Kitty....

Not as ’hoppy’ as i expected, still, decent flavor and goes down good. When it comes to IPA’s, this is middle of the pack for me.

i keep giving them chances though I don’t think anything has ever stood out. at least they’re cheap. an ipa or imperial pale...whatever...with little bitterness and hop presence. Not bad but boring.

Yellow into orange barely a head, though seems carbonated in the mouth. resin, hay & caramel aroma. Flavor of orange, pine tingle, caraml. overall delicacy to it, sessionish.

4 magic hat ipa’s side by side. 1 Electric Peel, 2 Encore (odd notion, wheat), 3 Lucky Kat, 4 HIPA. Flatened quickly. Tastes a bit watery compared to others. Faint ash in aftertaste drops this a bit. Not great.

Rating from 4-20-2010....12 oz. bottle...copper with a beige head....the aroma is so light its almost non-existent...a whiff of malt and a whiff of citrus & some metal :(...there is not much to this beer, the closest to hops I get are in the mild bitter finish...there is a lot of metallic flavor throughout this beer....and its watery

It has a deep amber or copper color with very good clarity. The head builds up tall and fluffy. Its head is just off white in color and leaves cool rings of lacing on the glass. There is a big fruity hop aroma with some hints of citrus and pine. It starts with a doughy, sort of earthy malt with some mild sweetness and light caramel notes. Hop flavor slowly takes over with fruity, citrus and mild pine notes. Its hop flavor is very big and juicy yet bitterness is more modest making it very easy and fun to drink. The finish is semi-dry with a nice bitter fade. Its medium bodied with average carbonation and a slick easy drinking texture.

Rated on 7-02-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a medium sized smooth, fizzy ivory head that mostly diminishes, mostly transparent, slightly hazy orange body, and spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malts, citrus, pine, and grapefruits hops. The Taste is grapefruit, lightly bitter, caramel malts, citrus, and pine hops. This beer has a semi-dry short finish. The Palate is creamy and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is not a very hoppy tasting IPA. It could be a session IPA. This is a beer that I do not recommend as it needs more hop flavor and more character for the style.
