wilkie (1045), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Apr 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours deep copper with a cmall white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, with citrus from hops. Flavor is very hoppy, especially in the middle. Citrus and grass aftertaste. Slightly sweet body. Nice blend of hops, and quite tasty. Could use a little more malt to balance out the hops.
graham515 (279), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pours copper into the glass with a white head. Aroma is nice and pine-ilke with some malt sweetness coming through. Flavor is almost woody at first with a lot of citrus tang coming on the back end. dmac (799), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 11, 2008 12 oz bottle from Buy-Rite of Howell drank at Spiegelfest ’08 or as I like to call it my most embarassing day ever. Poured a honey amber with a large off white frothy head. Typical IPA aroma, lots of citrus, some floral hops, grains and caramel malts. Smooth easy drinking with a medium body and medium carbonation. Flavor of bitter citrus rind, light floral hops and grains. Good beer especially from Magic Hat but could use a little more hops. Solid none the less. nearbeer (1101), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 9, 2008 12 oz. Clear copper with a small head. Earthy resin and slight citrus aroma. Flavor is earthy marshmallow and molasses, grapefruit, with a woody-resin and nutty finish. Light body is dry and tingly. hopson (435), Williamsville, New York, USA Jul 7, 2008 bottle- very disappointed, and becoming increasingly disappointed with this brewer’s portfolio. Harsh bitterness similar to Hipa, followed immediately by some harsh and unclean hop flavor. Very dull and low on the drinkability index. I bought a six pack, barely drank two, and will forget the other four exist. glaze0101 (78), USA Jul 6, 2008 Kinda more like an off pale ale than an india pale ale. In true Magic Hat fashion this light hoppy beer has an odd palate and is not very traditional. Has citrus undertones, as expected from MH. Not bad, not great.
