What I thought to be nutmeg or clove was actually cardamom. Medium bodied and odd flavored. Bitter and tart. Just an odd beer. argo0 (6891), Washington DC, USA

The aroma and flavor are floral and herbal over a base of toasty and chocolaty malts. Its medium bodied with a smooth texture that finishes slowly with an herbal ginger like spicy fade. I really enjoyed the Odd Notion and will looking next spring if they bring it back. Haslinger (644), Syracuse, New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2008 A moderately heavy aroma of roasted malt, exotic spice, and licorice. Dark mahogany pour with a 1/2" thick khaki head and stringy lacing. Decent mouth feel, relatively thick upfront that soon fades to a fizzy finish. Pleasant aftertaste that is somewhat smoky. Flavor has a nice jumble of smoked and roasted malt with a fruity flowery aspect. A hint of chocolate and nuts. What a strange yet appealing flavor this brew has, the blend of dark malts and spicy fruity flowers is well received. Nate (2538), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
