Bottle. Pours a ruby brown in color with a small white head. It has a very herbally nose. The flavor is very smooth and malty with a spicey finish. Quite good.

Jul 5, 2008 Pours a reddish brown with about a finger of light beige tan head. Coca and coffee odor. Taste is of burnt toast, chocolate, and coffee, with a slightly bitter hop aftertaste. A decent session beer, but nothing spectacular.

Jul 3, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration date of Jul ’08. Pours more brown then red with a little bit of beige head. Kudos for the smoked, cocoa-like aroma. It was quite pleasing on the nose. Medium mouthfeel and bold. Flavor is sweet, malty, lightly spiced, and even a little fruity. It is complex but it is quite a likeable brew. I’ll have another (and I did).

Jun 18, 2008 Beer pours a good dark brown with a decent enough head. Interesting nose, very floral with malt present. Very complex, but a bit watery for my taste. Still not bad, but I am glad I got this in the variety back instead of six.

Jun 9, 2008 Taps at Capital Ale House. Clear dark amber brown with small white head.
Aroma is lightly spicey with notes of cardamon and roast malts. Floral and fruity flavors with lots of cardamon. Lightly carbonated. Finish is moderatly dry with some lingering floral and spicey flavors. The spice in an Irish Red is a bit unorthodox but interesting anyway.
