2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pour is a brown with a average white head. Aroma is a bit earthy with some sourness. Flavor is a bit of chocolate with some cherry and a minor sour aftertaste. Nothing really sour and it seems the brewer was trying to gimick this up. Can you make an artifical sourness? If so thatís what i think happened and it did not work.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a cloudy iced tea color with no head. Light aroma of malt, burnt toast. Sweet taste with notable sour apple flavor that leaves a bit of tart residue on your lips. Very little hop presence and lacking any sort of bitterness. Very thin watery body. Not a lot of flavor to distinguish it as beer over, say, diluted iced tea infused with a few drops of granny smith apple juice. I canít justifiably say I dislike it, but there really isnít anything in it to be liked.

Bottle thanks to Swalden28. The look is clear, amber in color, and has an off white head. The smell is doughy, sweet, tart, and off. The taste is tart, fruits, and weird.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells like slag. Yeasty swirling pour on a light rootbeer background. Weird dark sour or tart beer experience. Goes over well. Not bad, very unique. Almost a sour ale, really just lightly sour. Finish goes woody wet and wet leather. I think I like

Bottle. Looks promising then you get a wiff. Donít really understand what they were going for with this one. The beer is really sour. Sour to the point on not being enjoyable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
an ordinary dark brew in the weizenbock or black lager tradition it is mostly raisin in flavor, unbalanced and somewhat sweet. syrup like in body and mouthfeel with low carbonation and the uninspiring hint of soil. tart or sour aspect seems overstated. odd indeed.

Passed to me from a buddy out of a12 pack sampler at a party. Some chocolate and I was pleasantly surprised by the lightly sour cherry ending. Good surprise, not knowing what I was being handed.
