COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique surprise cross-pollinates the classic American wheat beer with an American Pale Ale. What grows next is a fruitfully unfiltered union with a delightful hop aroma, a pleasant citrus hop flavor, and a beautifully balanced finish that leaves other ales hoppy green with springtime envy.

Had this as "Magic Hat Encore American Wheat IPA" from the IPA on tour series. 12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Strange. Citrusy, lemony hops, but there’s an odd creaminess to it. Not sure how to adequately describe it. Pleasant, though! Appearance: Hazy, practically opaque rust. Off-white head lasts for a bit. Taste: Strong hop bite! Just the subtlest wheat on the end. So lots of hop, not a lot of wheat. I can live with that! Palate: Medium bodied. Long, long finish. Quality stuff. Overall: Good stuff! It’s a shame Magic Hat doesn’t make it regularly, because it’s a fantastic brew.

Tastes like what it says. Combo of wheat and IPA. Nothing crazy, but a descent beer for watching football and eating spicy snacks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A hazy yellowish orange color with fluffy white head. Smells like what it is- a hopped up wheat beer. Taste is a bit tart and muddled, not bad, just not good.

12oz bottle from ABC on Betton - labeled as Encore. Gold pour with a medium off-white head and sudsy retention. Aroma of light grain, pine and floral hops. Tastes are wheat, grain, honey. Eh, not offensive, but not so great.

12oz bottle (Encore). Pours a hazy golden color with about a half inch of white head. Aroma is wheaty and sweet, with some citrus hop notes. Taste is Sweet up front, citrusy, fruity, with mild bitterness.

Bottle at Ales and Lagers, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a thin white broken head. The aroma is hoppy leading to a medium bitter, hoppy, spicy flavour which is smooth on the palate and super refreshing.

Appearance: very hazy orange color with some particles floating around. There’s a soap-like head that’s about two fingers or so in height. The lacing is decent Smell: Soapy hops -- really not much malt here, but it smells average. Taste/feel: On the front there’s some massive citrus -- grapefruit sorts. Very bitter. Almost a medicinal flavor in there. The aftertaste is spicy with not much malt to balance it out. Decent beer, but it’s just not balanced enough for me.
