COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique surprise cross-pollinates the classic American wheat beer with an American Pale Ale. What grows next is a fruitfully unfiltered union with a delightful hop aroma, a pleasant citrus hop flavor, and a beautifully balanced finish that leaves other ales hoppy green with springtime envy.

Bottled. Poured hazy, milky golden with a short, uniform cap of white head. The aroma picked up lemon and orange zest with tart wheaty notes over a non-descript pale malt base. The flavor found orange and pineapple bitterness throughout, with sweet caramel at the core.. dry, peppery yeast as well.. greener finish with spices, bitter citrus, and tart wheat.. interesting. Lighter-bodied with a scratchy feel on the palate.. the bitterness worked fairly well with the wheat.. decent overall.

The word "nondescript" features prominently in my noes here. Not a lot of wheat character, not a lot of IPA character, either. Thanks to lithy for bringing this to the tasting so I wonít feel compelled to buy the entire mix pack to get this (ticker that I am...).

Slightly hazy gold pour with a 2 finger bubbly white head. Aroma is extremely weak, with a touch of wheat and light floral hop. Flavor has some herbal and grassy hop, but there is also graininess and wheat with touches of banana and nectar. Different, but I donít really think Iím a fan. Palate is fairly light, with a fairly dry finish. OK beer, but certainly nothing special.

The pour is clear nectarine with a two finger white froth. The aroma is floral and herbal- the hop character is largely perfume-like with some grainy wheat malt following. The flavor is sharp and the mouthfeel is somewhat astringent. Lots of grassy hop notes on the tongue with some banana, cereal grain, and sweet malt. The palate is light to medium bodied with medium effervescence and a crisp, semi-dry finish. A bit rough around the edges, but sheíll suffice.

This beer would be perfect for a sunny mid 80s day by the beach. Unfortunatly it is freakin freezing so I am only dreaming. This is a great spring (or summer) seasonal. Light, citrus, clean. I donít taste too mush IPA and this brew looks like pee. For what it is though, very nice.

Iíd say this beer was the winner of the Spring Sampler pack (not a huge win considering 2 of the 4 arenít really new). None the less, itís a pretty interesting brew. Taste is like a very citrusy wheat beer. A small kick of hops at the end and a very clean finish. Like the rest of the Spring pack, very easy to drink and pretty solid overall.

Spritzy, fruity wit aroma -- powdery with spice. Light, pear-gold color, webby head which fades rapidly, bad label on a standard US longneck. Crisp and well-hopped, a little starchy, only faintly sweet, good bittering on the sides of the tongue. Medium to medium-light body, aftertaste was pleasantly bitter and a little piney. This is very drinkable - on the better side of pedestrian. True to its name, it is springy. Market Square, Timberlane.

Pale yellow color poured from a bottle. The little bit of fizzy head dissolved quickly or at least in the four bottles I had from the Spring Sampler. The aroma comes off nice with a citrus and hoppy mixture and the taste backs up the citrus part with only slightly imparting the hoppiness to me. Itís palate definitely leaves you with a feeling of your drinking a wheat beer with a very little bit of what Iíve expected from other American Pale Ales. Overall a nice and easy drinking beer that has more connections to the wheat beer side of itís creation then the Pale Ale side, but nothing overly exciting if youíre looking for it or expect it from the Odd Notion series.

12 ounce bottle from the Spring sampler. Pours a lightly hazy lemon yellow color with a medium creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of bready, nutty malts with citrus and floral hops. Taste is bitter citrus hops up front with caramel, citrus and bready notes. Medium bodied. Kinda boring but not bad.
