COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique surprise cross-pollinates the classic American wheat beer with an American Pale Ale. What grows next is a fruitfully unfiltered union with a delightful hop aroma, a pleasant citrus hop flavor, and a beautifully balanced finish that leaves other ales hoppy green with springtime envy.

Poured into a "pint glass". A nice half inch head at pouring, with a cloudy and soft copper colored body. This IPA has a very even flavor to it. Not too weak and piney. Far from hop-head heaven. Solid flavor. Id do a session with this!

12oz bottle, interesting brew. Hoppy beginning, medium body, wheat finish. Not getting a hoppy finish like the description says but a complex brew at that. Definitely worth the try.

Nice floral hop aroma and some Carmel like malt backbone. Taste is malty and on the sweet side. Sweet malt dominates. Hop balances a bit but still sweeter. Does have a bit of a bitter finish. Maybe a bit sticky on the palate. Very solid beer though for magic hat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy orange into the glass, with a fully diminished head that leaves no lacing. The nose is of a muddy citrusy wheat. Flavors are of citrus, wheat, peel and zest, with a decent hop backing. The mouthfeel is semi-juicy, semi-active on the palate. A decent "Wheat IPA", I guess.

From the sample pack. Pours a cloudy brown/orange with off white head, slight lacing. Smell is sticky sweet caramel with splashes of sweet citrus. Taste is similar, but it is rather balanced with medium bitterness. Run of the mill. Palate comes of a bit more creamy than a typical IPA (perhaps the wheat).

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2014 Good for an IPA...mildly fruity, good flavor but also not too hoppy at all...ok for a beer in general but even better for an IPA x2

Good beer... Started hoppy but misses the hoppy finish of a pacific northwest ipa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is earthy and spicy wheat malt, herbal and spruce hops with citrus notes, apple and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, light earthy and spicy wheat and cereal malt with fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Encore. A hoppy wheat beer or a wheaty IPA? Either way, the hops overwhelm the weak body, and the wheat tang exacerbates the harshness of the hops. Lots of flavor - piney citrus - but my favorite flavor. Probably better in summer where it can refesh.

Pours a hazy orange with smallish white head. Aromas of citrus and bread. Nice balance of sweet and bitter. Enjoyable, well-made beer.
