COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique surprise cross-pollinates the classic American wheat beer with an American Pale Ale. What grows next is a fruitfully unfiltered union with a delightful hop aroma, a pleasant citrus hop flavor, and a beautifully balanced finish that leaves other ales hoppy green with springtime envy.

In the bottle from Leukens Liquors. Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Doughy aroma is very yeasty with a touch of orange blossom. Very much a Belgian wit with a strong coriander flavor. Fizzy palate. Finishes quite mild.

Strange - the hops almost outweigh any discernible wheat beer qualities. I’m not sure what to make of it. I liked it, but the category listed is telling me to rate this poorly (if there was a style of wheat pale ale).

12oz bottle. Hazy orange with a steady, cloudy white head. Clean citrus hop aroma. Tastes pretty much like an APA. A touch of wheat, but an even heavier earthy feel, and the dominating Magic Hat yeast gives it a fruity, toffee flavor. Not outright bad, but doesn’t accomplish anything stylistically. Decently hopped, but the malt background is just sort of a caramel tinged mess. Unimpressive, but drinkable.

Pour is a hazy orange with a average white head. Aroma is a citrus hop with a decent wheaty malt base. Flavor is about the same. nice citrus hop to start then a wheat aspect takes over. NOthing eart shattering here, just a decent easy drinking IPA.

Hazy golden coloured body with a copper glow and a nice sized, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh citrus, grassy, herbal and sweet hops with a bunch of alcohol, some candy sugar and a touch of citrus. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp and acidic at first with some passionfruit, guava and citrus fruit notes then showing some light grassy and herbal hop notes, but not so strongly. Aftertaste is a touch hoppy and bitter, but mostly sweet and fruity - a touch of the wheat is noticeable at the very end. Overall, a decent beer, a nice interesting take on both an IPA and an American Wheat - not a bad offering, but not amazing. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$2.35 sampled at home in Washington on 12-April-2012.

Magic Hat markets this under different names. In my area it’s called Encore. It’s all about hops. Hops through and through in the smell and taste, very bitter with kind of a citrus, orange-peel zing. I found it a little tiresome.

Pours a slightly hazy but otherwise clear golden wheat color. Medium to heavy hops aroma of citrus and some herbs. It has a medium to almost heavy bitter that is quite pleasing. The body is medium with a somewhat thick or sticky texture and average carbonation. The finish is a slight bitter that lingers a while but not too long. If I could find this in a local bar I would definitely buy it on a regular basis.

Golden yellow pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity hops. Taste is wheat and hops which are balanced nicely. Good lacing.
