COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

First of all, I think the label looks great. Definitely earns a couple of extra appearance points there. The beer itself looks nice. Nice light yellow gold color with a really good foam. Smells of light malts and dandelion. Tastes surprisingly good. Nice balance. The dandelion is done lightly so as to not take over the beer. Well done. Apparently I like it more than most.

12 oz. bottle from The Beer Store. English pint shows me a hazy piss gold color with lots of particles floating tin the liquid. Nose is honey and pale malt. Taste is strictly pale malt with a very subtle flower essence. Light body with a short abrupt finish.

Pours medium yellow with a white lingering head and lacing. Nose is light resinous hops. Palate is light medium with a vegetal - not bad - taste. Very little bitterness.

The color of this beer is yellowish golden with nearly no head, but the sediment, once poured inside a glass looks and moves like smoke inside rays of sunshine. The aroma is hoppy and floral, and the taste is mildly sweet, slightly sour, and slightly bitter. The palate is nice, for the combination of the medium-light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, and slightly bitter finish.

3/6/13. 12oz bottle from 5 Points. Hazy golden pour with a small khaki head that fades but laces a bit. Very mild aroma with soft wheat, mineral water, and a touch of herbal notes. Light citrus wheat flavor with barely a touch of acid and herbal. Is this supposed to be Pissenlit for the sheep or something? Marketing. Baaaa. Baaaaaaaaa. Garbage.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body with a fizzy white head that had pretty good retention for a Magic Hat beer. The nose is light, fruity, and floral with a scent that does actually remind me of dandelion wine actually. The flavor is a bit overly thin and weak though, actually pretty downright watery. Thereís a slight floral hoppiness and a minimal bitterness on the back end, along with a light perfume like quality. Thin bodied and very fizzy with a vegetal finish. Canít say too many good things about this one.

Bottle from Spirits Manahawkin. Pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of an okay pils mixed with lemon scented floor cleaner and a bad Yankee candle. Taste is equally as bad, cereal grains, sweet malts, artificial lemon and flower notes with a mild bitterness. This is a mess.

12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a huge white head and tons of carbonation. Pretty interesting brew actually. I can imagine this would be very refreshing on a hot summer day. Itís pretty refreshing on a cold March day for that matter. Hints of lemon and tastes exactly like I would imagine dandelion tastes like but not sure if I have ever had dandelion before so it could just be all in my head. Not the usual beer I would reach for but it ainít bad.

Dont think this is as bad as other reviews suggest - at least hats off for trying something different - A bit watery but reminds you spring is just around the corner. Reminded me of a mix between a pale and a wheat without the funky coriander & orange flavors of some spring seasonals.

Clear straw no head. Light floral aroma. Light body light taste cat pee. Metallic. Was really hoping there would be at least a little bit of good flavor to talk about.
