3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of flowery and grassy hops. Taste is light bitter. Flowery and pine hops. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation but not much of a finish. Overall, not bad. Nothing I would seek out, but a decent lawnmower beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep gold into a Sam glass. White head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Pale malt and summer flower aromas. Sharp and slightly tart upfront turning to caramel before the lasting earthy bitter finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured up a hazy gold with a decent white head that faded out to a lace. Smells of grain with a bit of floral. Tastes of grain and citris. Will admit this is the first brew I have had with dandelion so I will have to also say it is different than most other brews. Not something I would just go out for but it is not too bad. Then again I am not a much of a fan of Magic Hat so it does make me wonder what another brewer could do with dandelions.

Unique sour (pleasant) taste with delicate hops and malty finish. Nice balance with no off-flavors. Great with fish or chicken.

I can see how some may not like Pistil, but I found it different and refreshing. Pistil has the quality of a fine lager with mild citrus flavors. Slight floral aroma. A nice Summer beer.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cloudy amber. Citrusy and hoppy. Not what I was expecting but still decent. Not a bad ale but didn't blow my socks off

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, dandelion, light hops, grain, and a hint of hopcitrus. Poured yellow in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of small, medium, and large-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, grain, light hops, cereal, and slight florals. Light to medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Slightly bitter, malt, grain, cereal, floral finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted from 12oz bottle into snifter. It poured a pretty amber color with off-white foam, lasting with a little lace. A fairly neutral, true-to-style light-body pale ale with woodsy hops and subtle weedy, flowery dandelion essence. If you remember picking a bouquet of bright yellow, resiny dandelion flowers as a kid, this smells and tastes about like you’d imagine. Homemade dandelion wine is a very old tradition, made a the beginning of summer and ready to drink at the end of summer, thus symbolic of the passage of fun times. This was even the central focus of a Ray Bradbury novel of the same name. I’ve often wondered what a dandelion beer would taste like; now I know. Light body, moderate carbonation, faint tartness from the aciduated malt, crisp snap. An interesting, easy-drinking summer refresher. Give it a try.
