COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white creamy head that was mostly diminishing down to a light film and a very small collar and had just a bit of spotty lacing. The aroma was of a light pale hay malt, floral hops and a mild earthy yeast with notes of oats, citrus (lemon and orange) and a slight floral presence. The taste was lightly bitter throughout with the beginning having mild hints of citrus and a light hoppiness with a slightly sour floral finish. The flavor was short lived with a slight bitter taste that faded fast. Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery and very lightly oily texture and possessed a fizzy carbonation. Overall a fantastic Summer brew that was light, tasty and quite satisfying. It is great to taste a Lager that has some flavor and a great drinkability...

A lovely and delicious summer beer. Probably a new favorite! Aroma was the only disappointing part of this beer. Could pick up some sweet grains and oatmeal but very faint. Pour was a beautiful cloudy light gold with tons of sediment and a one finger white head. Perfect looking beer. Taste was very subtle and refreshing. A nice combination of sweet grains, oats and a slight sugary sweetness balanced by a tartness I can only imagine comes from the dandelion. A nice acidic sourness in the aftertaste. Nice carbonation makes this beer the perfect summer beer. If the aroma had been as good as the taste, this would be a 4+ beer

Hazy golden pour with a good deal of suspended sediment. The aroma is of wheat, lemon, bubble gum, vegetal. Firm carbonation, medium bodied. Tastes of lemon, piney hops, canned vegetables (maybe from the dandelion?), light sweetness, snappy finish with a refreshing bitterness. Pretty nice. No trace of dandelion that I can detect.

It poured a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of malts, wheat, citrus, and hops. The taste was about the same. A decent summer brew. Interesting label describing brewed with dandelions, hmmm.

12 ounce bottle from the summer sampler. Pours a hazy pale orange color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of earthy, nutty, floral notes with some caramel. The taste is nutty and earthy with toasted malts and an herbal, almost tart finish. Medium bodied.

Not a fan of this beer. Itís made with dandelions... Thatís a weed last time I checked. Very cloudy with a lot of sediment to the point where I almost wanted to eat this beer with a fork.

Pours hazy yellow with a small white patchy head. The aroma is very powdery and floral with pale malt, chalk and some fruitiness. Medium / light body thatís crisp with the light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with weird herbal notes along with the aroma traits The finish is quite peppery. Decent beer.

Interesting beer, better than most of their summer beers. Poors a nice gold, with heavy suspension. (actually a good look for this beer) Light carbonation and easy to drink. pleasant aftertaste and well balanced. Very malty nose with acidic hint. taste is malty with a lot of floral notes. Finishing note is almost fruity and sour. Interesting and decent beer.

Pours a clear light golden color. Aroma is of malts, wheat, citrus, and hops. Flavor is pretty much the same. This is a good summer brew for them I guess. Better than Wacko anyway. Iím still not sure about the whole dandelions thing, I mean, isnít that a weed! Anyways at least I can say that Iíve had a beer with dandelions in it.
