COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

355ml bottle. Guess it is a saison. Too much dry sulphury and minerally flavors. bland.

Bottle from a variety pack. Poured into a pint glass it is a pale straw color with some haze. Taste is slightly floral, lemon. It is thin and over carbonated. It really doesn’t taste like much of anything and as it warmed it became less crisp. It might be better icy cold on a really hot summer day.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a pale gold colored body that leaves a one finger white head that dies down to a paper thin film within twenty seconds. Barely any lacing coats the sides of the glass and the body is too hazy for any carbonation to be seen rising. The smell had some grainy and cereal malts combined with some spicy hops. After the beer warms a bit, some sage and thyme came out. The taste had a graininess/cereal maltiness coming back pretty strong. The palate sat about a light to medium with a dry finish, decently balanced. Overall, ok, not bad, would I have this again?, hmmm... probably only on tap.

Hazy pale gild with a nice fluffy white head. Sweet floral aroma with some spice and yeast. Taste starts the same but ends metallic and a bit odd. Light body. Would good if it didn’t have the weird finish.

12 oz bottle from Frys. Not just hazy but some serious chunky debris in this light pale beer. Very little of that comes through in the aroma or flavor. It has a doughy flavor, like raw pizza dough, a hint of sourness, with maybe a little earthy hint from the hops and adjuncts. A good light session beer but seems like a lot of production for that variety of beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At the DC Craft Beer Festival. Poured a hazy dull golden color with an off-white head. Very light floral notes. Aroma was light crisp malts. Some malt, light herbal hops. Inoffensive. meh. mostly unremarkable.

[5304-20130429] Tap. Mild grassy aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter lemon pip grass flavour has a quick finish. Medium body. Interesting, abrupt. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3
