3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is floral and fruity, containing lemon, grass, and some wheat. Slightly bubblegummish. The taste, while still floral, has more fruity elements. Still lemon, along with orange, apple, and pair. It has some yeast in there as well. Aftertaste is floral and grainy. Light in body, thin in texture, with average carbonation. I can’t really describe this as refreshing. It is ok, but you can do better than this.

Bottle. Pours yellow with white head. Smells a little floral- not like much though. Tastes very wheaty, creamy, bitter end. Weird. Not very good.

Medium yellow,very carbonated-so much that you get half glass of head.Heavy streaming continuous bubbles.
Aroma is bright with floral and citrus,slightly spicey almost belgiany.
Taste is fairly clean light with same as aroma,bright floral,floral taste,citrusy clean,slight sweet caramel,slightly bready.Nice and will do for a session ale.Nothing bad but nothing great.

Bottle: The aroma consists of lightly tart citrus, floral notes, honey, and a touch of bread. It pours a transparent gold with a one finger, slightly fizzy, white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a touch of sweet honey. The finish turns to light-moderate citrus hops, grapefruit, and light floral notes. It’s light bodied with lively/fizzy carbonation. Overall, it tastes like a lightly floral Pale Ale. It’s a decent lawn mower beer.

22 ounce sample on tap at JFK airport. The aroma is a bit floral with some dusty estery notes. Some spicy hops are also present along with some light sweetness. Moderately hazy golden body with a medium bubbly white head present. Good lacing. Starts with light citrus rind flavors, before this becomes a little more tart in the middle. Finishes herbal, dry, and dusty. A little harsh in the finish. Not the most enjoyable stuff.

Pistil Pours a golden slightly hazy with medium amount of small bubbles. Nose is faint hops and something hard to distinguish. Taste is malty, slightly sweet and a savory touch of something like french onion soup. Body is mildly lively. finishes clean. refreshing beer.

Aroma: The aroma is on the lighter side, with bread, grass, a little straw, and light herbal notes
Appearance: It pours a clear gold-orange color with a large, quick fading, foamy white head
Flavor: The taste is similar to the nose, it is light sweet and light bitter, malty and herbal
Palate: The body is fairly light, and it has so much carbonation that it hurts the drinkability
Overall Impression:
This wasn’t a favorite for me. The nose and taste are both fine, but nothing special, but where this one falls apart is that it is completely over carbonated. Its not great otherwise, but with a little more drinkability it could have been better.

A golden body with a white head that had good retention and nice lace. Aroma had a soft malt note upfront with a nice floral presence to it. Reminding me of baby powder, but not in a negative way. Flavor was initially sweet. No real hops, but a nice floral flavor to it. Nice and smooth, would make a good session beer.

Dandelion? I guess that’s what this dirt/grass flavor is. Has a decent, mild, floral aroma and a light appearance. Tried at Brandon’s in Lawrence in 2013.

Light summer session beer. Flavor is mild and filled with floral, grass, biscuit. Not complex in flavor, but easy to drink.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 For everything listed as ingredients in the golden ale with pillowy head I thought there would be more complex overall flavors. Lightest bitterness, floral and earth flavors, come together just don’t go anywhere for me.
