Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Aroma similar to an IPA. Pours pale and yellow with a white head. Taste is crisp and clean with a pleasant aftertaste. More of a spring Ale. I'd buy a sixer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear light golden with a slight chill haze, under an unstable rocky white head. Aroma is floral hoppy but not too strong..definitely smells like a 4.5% beer, with quiet dandelion notes and a little pale ale malt body. Flavor is nice and crisp with a surprising amount of bitterness (good thing), coming with more of that pale malt backbone and crisp floral and grassy hops. Honestly if it weren’t for the slight bit of dandelion on the nose, I would confuse this for a Sierra Nevada Pale. Drinkable body with a low-abv-ipa bitterness throughout.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden appearance with a cream colored head. Very floral, big herbal, grainy straw, a bit earthy aroma. Flavor is just a bit tart with just a touch of fruit and plenty of grainy malts and oats. Floral, a bit spicy, and pretty tasty. I’m tempted to pick up a sixer of this, which is a great complement from a fucken ticker.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Flowery and a little earthy, with grass, lightly sweet malts, and the slightest acidity. Moderately dry finish. Pretty damn good.

Bottle. Nose is somewhat dry but dank, lightly woody and fruity/tang notes. Flashes of bright citrus. Pours yellow-golden with strong carbonation and a soapy white head. Taste is relatively dry, light bitterness with a strong wooden component, resolves into a fizzy but beautiful bready character. Very light tang, light (and faintly astringent) herbal and grassy touches. Faint grain, good clean pale malt right up the middle, some lemony citrus, light mineral. Light-medium body crisp and supremely refreshing! Clean with great balance, I’m pleasantly surprised.

Light colored beer and fresh taste. This is a little headed beer and it goes down very easy.

I can see how some may not like Pistil, but I found it different and refreshing. Pistil has the quality of a fine lager with mild citrus flavors. Slight floral aroma. A nice Summer beer.

Bouteille 12 oz. 4.5% Fraîche, arôme de malt, en bouche, malt, herbes et une finale avec un peu d’amertume...surprenante.

The color of this beer is yellowish golden with nearly no head, but the sediment, once poured inside a glass looks and moves like smoke inside rays of sunshine. The aroma is hoppy and floral, and the taste is mildly sweet, slightly sour, and slightly bitter. The palate is nice, for the combination of the medium-light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, and slightly bitter finish.

This pours a semi-clear, golden yellow color with a thin, white head. The aroma has a lot of lemon citrus to it. The taste is thin, light, and very floral/fruity. Overall it’s not the greatest beer Magic Hat makes, but at least this will be an easy drinking beer for those hot summer days.
