COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stop and smell the petals. Pistil is a summer beer unlike any other, brewed with a combination of dandelion petals, Pale and Acidulated malts, flaked oats, and Apollo and Northern Brewer hops that results in a one-of-a-kind beer with a slightly sour acidity and a smooth malt body. Perfect for taking down deep thirst.

Particulate laden murky dandelion yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is floral and vegetal with pale and mildly sweet malts. Taste is sweet, vegetal and weedy with some malt beneath and a semi-dry finish.

Spicy horseblanket and pollen aroma (maybe itís the name leading me down that road). Tart citrus, like a juicy orange. Good strength. The appearance is straw yellow with an unusual sediment and puffy white head. Interesting. Flavor is lager malt with a severely peppery end. Itís pretty tame, but pleasant enough. Prickly feel, tons of carbonation. A mild but decent Saison-style beer.

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Killearn - 12 oz bottle. Light medium gold pour with a thin but persistent snow white head. Aroma has a spicy tint to it with some saffron and some light floral notes. Crisp flavor with some grassy notes, a slight lemony citrus bitter undertone, a hint of spice. Refreshing crisp mouthfeel. Pleasantly surprised.

Bottle from Samís in Durham. Pours a light orange/dark gold haze with a white head. Nose is sweet grain, light vegetal, wheat, some light acidity. Floral and grassy notes. Similar taste but with a touch more sweetness and a dry palate. I could perhaps drink six of these. Itís different.

Points for the strange factor - dandelion beer? Interesting. Spicy and faintly sour. I think pilsner when I drink this one.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated hazy dark yellow orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The aroma was floral musty and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish fruity aftertaste. The complex flavor contained notes of softly acidic wheat orange peel mildly vinous mild hops herbal fruity and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. Makes me buro from the carbonation.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Shared with caterwaul. Mostly clear dandelion yellow color. More hazy with particles in the last pour.. Thin white head. Little loose lace, but good head retention. Definitely a more floral nose. Bready malt base. Lighter body, smooth, lighter carbonation - easy drinking, light bitter, more sweet, some light orange-citrus zest. Nice, zesty, floral golden. Drinkable and refreshing.

s/o to Dr.Silverworm for the share. Golden yellow body with a white head. About 1cm. Recedes quickly into a ring. agitation restores it to about calf a cm. Smells sweet and flowery. Orange. Sweet citrus. Tastes very... insubstantial. Like the nose, but toned down. Flowery but a little bitter, too. warms up and comes better into the flavors in the nose but doesnít do anything terribly exciting or unexpected. Mouthfeel is light-medium thickness. Tingly. In a weird way.
