Magic Hat Roxy Rolles

Bottle, part of the seasonal pack. No cups available, so drank out of the bottle. 4/5 will be the appearance, based on the ratings here. Taste was strange, but in a good way. Had a bit of hops up front, finishing with roasty caramel/bready taste. Yeasty finish. I’d buy a 6-pack of this if it wasn’t part of the seasonal package.

Not bad, hops are a nice addition. Not my favorite beer in the pack but very drinkable and is a nice transition for the hoppy-bitter beers of summer to the malty-sweet beers of winter. I will drink this again and would order it in public.

A nice effort from MH. Their creamy style on top of a nice malt-forward, slightly spicy brew. A little bit of biscuit. quaffable.

A dark amber (almost brown) pour with a medium off-white head. It has a spicy malt aroma and medium body. The taste starts with sweet caramel malt and subtle spices. It finishes semi-dry with a short bitter bite.

Poured clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, spicy hops. Taste is mostly malty, with plenty of toasty & sweet notes, some mild hop bittering, a little tingly spicey. Mouth is medium bodied and welll carbonated. Overall, a decent effort.

Average stuff, nothing really great. Pours a nice color red with a good head. Sweet with no layers.

Cherry wood color, awesome thick, foamy head! A malty, syrupy nose and nice hop bitterness well overshadow a lack of malt backbone (in the body)

I’ve never been a fan of magic hat so I was a little hesitant whe na friend gave this to me. I was a little surprised when he told me how awesoem it was and how MH was one of his fav breweries - this is a guy I trust. Well... he didn’t let me down. Very unique aroma and a flavor to match - almost spicy without being spicy?!?!? Nice caramel flavor and sweetness, but also a pleasant bitterness that defies its stated IBU’s. A really good beer!
