MrBeerFanatic (85), jamestown, New York, USA May 12, 2008 Has a hoppy and slightly malty taste with a decent bitter finish. An ok amber ale. Not impressed here. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours an amber orange with a small head. Quite hoppy with a touch of sugar in the aroma. The taste was hoppy and sweet as well with an underlying bitterness. The beer was a bit too thin. puboflyons (284), New Hampshire, USA Apr 18, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz bottle with an expiration date of April 2008. I just made it by two weeks. Pours a rich amber-red with a tan, puffy head. Malted aroma and a hint of some kind of pungent spice. Taste is a little malted, hoppy, bitter (as in sour) and dry. Carries a disagreeable aftertaste, which kind of brings down my appreciation of it. patrick767 (1312), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 16, 2008 bottle - Pours dark amber with a one finger white head. It has an aroma of citrus accented hops and a little caramel malt. The flavor is definitely led by the hops with a bitterness much more akin to a pale ale than most amber ales. It’s medium bodied and finishes with some lingering hops bitterness. Pretty good. hopslovin (157), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 6, 2008 Dark amber pour with foamy off-white head. Citrus, pine, grass, and a lot of hops on the nose. Smells great. Bitterness, piney resin on the front, and malt following in in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Very nice.
