Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a fading tan head over an amber body. Aroma of herbal hops, caramel, a bit skunky and catty, straw and berries. Taste is caramel, fruity and spicy hops. Light carbonation.

Bottle. Mahogany pour, scarlet in the glass. Immortal tan foam. Leaves more lace in the glass than you would find on a French maid. Dank/spicy hop aroma, citrus and caramel, decadent malt. Campfire embers, maybe? Extremely smooth, succulent malt taste is barely (and perfectly) overbalanced by hop flavor that is both crisp and jammy. Pine needles. Molasses notes in smell and flavor.Fruity finish (dates and toast?), roasty aftertaste hints at unsweetened chocolate. The palate is "thick", yet soft and airy as mousse. I enjoyed this last month on draught, but this is even better than I remembered. Simply outstanding... I’ll be buying more tonight.

Bottle. Pours an amber orange with a small head. Quite hoppy with a touch of sugar in the aroma. The taste was hoppy and sweet as well with an underlying bitterness.

Bottle. Very hoppy aroma; the amber malt is there, though not really strong. Fruity, slightly sour, and just a little roasted. Flavor is amber malt, earthy, similar to biere de garde, but with a lot of hops. Some caramel, chocolate, lots of hops. A very nice balance, more hops than usual is nice. They go well with the amber malt. Finish is predominantly hops, but the amber malt sweetness is also lingering beneath. A very nice beer.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Cloudy amber with a foamy, tan head. Good head retention and decent lacing. Aroma: Whoa! Big pine hop aroma. Earthy and herbal, almost like it was dry hopped. Taste: Earthy, herbal hops are very forward on the palate. What little biscuit notes from the malt that are there get beaten down quickly by the hops. Palate: Medium-high, prickly carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Long, bitter finish. Overall: A pretty refreshing amber ale. I would recommend giving this one a go!

dark red with tannish head. hoppy nose. flavor has a lot of bitterness then some upper crystal malts providing a lot of raison-like malt character, not much malt sweetness and the hops just do not come through here. mild citrus hop flavor, but the bitterness predominates the flavor. a lot of residual sweetness, that just accentuates the lack of hop flavor. flawed

This poured a clear orangish color with a white head. Aroma was slight piney hops, some sweetness and slight roastedness and caramel as well. Flavor was very strange, a mix of dark fruits, sweet malt, hops but there seems to be something missing here?
