Magic Hat Roxy Rolles

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a foamy off white head that recedes to a light ring. Nose is burnt nuts and fire wood. Palate is medium, a film is felt and finishes dry. Flavors of the burnt firewood and nuts, almost like a graham cracker.

pours amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is fruity hop, and dusty caramel malt. Flavour is actually quite nice. strong fruity and herbal hop combine with a toasty caramel malt body. Nice soft bitter finish.

On tap at Coasters. First of all, given my previous experiences with Magic Hat as a mediocre (at best) brewery I would not have tried this had it not been poured for me before I could order. Second, for an amber ale Magic Hat does a really nice job with this one and I was pleasantly surprised. Pours brownish-orange with a thin, off-white head. Big, bright citrus hop aroma. Bitter hop flavor of fresh cut grass and pine balanced with some caramel malt sweetness. This is actually a pretty good beer.

woody, malty, leafy, ekg, english and dogfish heady malt character. Very good.

Beer pours nice copper color with a thick, retained off white colored head. Aroma is hoppy, with some light spiciness. Flavor is mildly citrically bitter with just a touch of bready, malt balance. This is a hop forward amber ale, and therefore one I enjoyed quite a bit.

I really liked this beer. has a nice hop aroma to it. Flavor was big on hops with a nice malt finish to it. i was impressed by this brew.

Bottle. Amber pour with nice off -white head. Some funk in the nose with pine, rock candy, orange and lemon. Flavors of caramel, grapefruit, pine, and cinnamon like spice. Bitter for an amber. Appropriate body and mouthfeel, unlike other MH offerings. Hops working the mojo with the amber malts.
