Clear reddish orange pour with ring of light tan head. Aroma is citrus hops. Malty backbone is dominated by earthy hoppiness. Suprisingly tasty. Draft is actually better this year ’09. Almost burnt caramel base with a distinctive floral citrus hop. Does this have rye or some other alternative malt in it?

A dark amber pour with a big white, fluffy head. The aroma had hints of molasses and something roasted. The taste was smooth with a nice level of dry hoppiness. The finish was pleasantly sweet in the throat. This is an excellant seasonal beer and definitely my fav Magic Hat beer.

On tap at pic-a-lillis in NJ. Poured deep mahogony with creamy tan head. Very prominent hops/malt on nose. Very easy drinker with a malt finish. Fairly average beer, but was better than anything else they had to offer on tap!

Poured brown amber with nice head. Aroma of vegetal hops and some malt. This was creamy on the tongue with fairly well balanced with hops and malt. Nothing too big about this brew, fairly middle of the road but hops are most prominent. Decent.

12 ox bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a medium copper colour. Definitel flavour and aroma of sweet malt, with definite hint of spruce or pine. Nice seasonal, couldnt drink many of these due to psruce flavour.

Bottle. Pours a copper body with a big sweet crystal malt sweetness. Light spicy floral hop character. Citrus and other fruity esters. Decent.

Pours a darkish amber with medium head. Aroma is of grapefruit hops and some sweet malt. Flavor is a little off balance on the hop side- not too much in the may of substantial malt to counteract the bitterness. The hop character itself is great. Palate is a bit watery and a little astringent.
