esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 29, 2008 At Three Cellars Magic Hat tasting. Amber with a medium white head. Aroma of pine, woodsy hops (simcoe) and some sweet malt. Taste of citrus, pine, caramel. Smooth body leads to a dry mildly bitter finish. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 A heavy set brew with a nice hearty amount of bitterness. Quite hoppy with a tangy aftertaste. This is the first brew I’ve had from this company, looking forward to see what else this has to offer rustbucket0873 (145), Krikville, New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 color is a brownish red, with a small head on it. leaves a nice lacing, the aroma is

I’m generally not a fan of Magic Hat -- too sweet and bland. This is something else altogether. Smooth notes of carmel and maybe a hint of some candied fruit. Beautiful mouthfeel -- really doesn’t overpower as it fades to a nice hoppy finish. Well done Magic Hat. 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Nov 27, 2008 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Great amber clear pour with big long lasting light tan head. Great aroma of floral and piney hops and doughy malt to balance it out. Flavor is the same, lots of character, good balance, highly drinkable. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. BEERGUY007 (206), Scotia, New York, USA Nov 27, 2008 This one as I remember was very cutrusy, grape-fruity. Too much for me. I do like the hops, don’t get me wrong, but there was something about this one I couldn’t do. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Nov 27, 2008 Tap. Pours a deep amber with a lingering off-white head. Aroma is pine hops with citrus and malt detectable as well. Flavor is heavy pine hops up front, with citrus and malt sweetness more on the end. I also detected a slight bit of spice, but not an overwhelming amount. I really enjoyed this one. Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Nov 26, 2008 Amber pour with a nice lasting brownish/tan head. Aroma is very hoppy, mostly pine, with some sweet malt notes. Flavor has more hops, pine and citrus, caramel and a medium body w/ resinous mouthfeel. Finish is slightly sweet, medium bitterness and lingering spiciness. Pretty good take on an amber.
