Bottle. Pours with an amber color and a nice head. Aroma of floral hops and sweet malts. The flavor is similar, first dominated by bitter hops, with sweet malts later hitting the palate, and an earthy finish. The mouthfeel is a bit astringent, but otherwise, this is an excellent beer.

Bottle from winter variety pack. Pours to a dark red copper with a thick beige head. Noes is hops and light malts. The hops are at the forefront of the taste while malts take a back-seat. The finish is dry, bitter, citrusy perfection. Another good seasonal from Magic Hat.

This poured clear amber in color with a moderate head that of fluffy bubbles that dissipated away. The nose was bittersweet with aromas of citric hops, florals and honey. In the mouth it was medium-bodied and showed off the dry hops. At this point the hops are overwhelming the flavor and this comes off as just dry and bitter, not flavorful.

Pours a dark clear red amber with a thin foamy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, citrus, pine and grapefruit over top some caramel. Flavor doesn’t hold up though, weaker malts are really the let down, light sweet caramel but too distant, citrus and floral hops. Medium/light bodied, too thin with not enough substance, lots of fluffy carbonation.

Pours a red-amber color with a bit of a fluffy tan head. Aroma is hopppps. Oh my, I’m looking forward to this brew. First taste is a sweet hoppy explosion. Delicious. Hoppy Hoppiness. Smooth too. I didn’t expect this to be nearly as good as it is.

bottle. Pours a clear amber-red with a clingy cream head. Aroma heavy on malts, soil, and some fermenting dark fruit. Flavor starts sweet, of marbled caramel malt, butterscotch, butter, and a sweet apricot/cherry. Not a whole lot of complexity, but a pretty appealing flavor holds its own. Finish is thin, mouthfeel is sticky, but flavor recedes quickly. Pretty nice, especially for Magic Hat, which is a brewery I don’t seem to get along with too well.

Bottle form Alex 08’ Pours a hazy brown amber color with a beige head. Malty nose with slight syrupy sweetness coming through. Hopp bitterness and subtle sweetness. Finish is dry and funky.

Bonus beer from ? Pours attractive opaque ruddy caramel color with a halo of a cream colored head. The nose is dried fruits, brown sugar and sweet malt. The flavor goes much more earthy and a touch bitter. The finish is strangely a bit vegital.
