As the drink goes on there’s some nice lacing. I didn’t really know what it meant when people described a beer as "grassy" but one sniff of this and I learned fast. Really fresh and grassy. The taste is grassy as well with a bit of spice. Bitter finish. Not really my thing, but not bad for what it is. Chapel (330), Levittown, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Pours a nice amber with a little head. Aroma and flavor are of several different kinds of fruit: mostly strawberry and orange. There are also some caramel notes and some flavors which are otherwise unique to ambers. A very interesting combination. bierkoning (6023), La Tropica, Netherlands

Grapefruit, grassy hops and red berries in the aroma. Firm grassy oily flavor with grapefruit and red berries, flowing into a dry hopbitter aftertaste, with some strawberry fruit. Nice! thehoff (569), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Deep brown. Grapefruit? first scent. Syrupy molasses, fruity. Awesome smelling beer. Nice bitterness to the taste which only accents the aroma. Warming and delightful. Slightly sweet. Very very nice. I am surprised by how much I like this one. I am not a big amber fan. I would venture to say that this is my favorite one. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2008 12 oz bottle, best by April 08. Clear copper with a quick fading beige head. Citrusy orange hop nose, some pine and bread. Body is the light side of medium, decent drippy lacing. Herbal flavors, caramel, dry grapefruit - nicely hopped up. A decent drinker, and certainly one of the better brews from Magic Hat. Outchillen (29), Pennsylvania, USA
