Feb 3, 2008 Nice cloudy amber color with an immediately large soapy head that quickly disappears. Surprisingly hoppy aroma and taste. Smooth bitter aftertaste-not offensive. Lighter body than the taste would lead one to believe.

Feb 3, 2008 Nice red-amber color with lasting lacing on the glass. Head dissipates fast but lingers as lace. Wonderful balance between hop and malt. Can’t quite pick up the hop type, Centennial maybe ... Cascade? Piny/Grassy character. a la Celebration Ale with more malt. A good winter warmer without the spice.

Red brown body with an almond colored lace that clings to glass. Rich malt and hop nose. Flavor of caramel malts and bitter hops with a touch of roasted nuts. Finish is also bitter.

Feb 1, 2008 Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a nicely-lcaing froth of light tan head. Aroma has a nice fresh resiny hoppy character and some sweet caramel malty notes. Starts fairly full and toasty malty sweet with a grapefruity citrusy hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. Very drinkable and enjoyable version of the style.

Jan 31, 2008 12 oz. bottle Pours red with a beige head that is one finger thick and creamy and lingering. Decent lacing. Nose is caramel and hops. Taste is much of the same, caramel and coffee/roasted flavor with some bitterness and piney/floral hops. Drinkable, tasty, but nothing spectacular. Good amber.

Jan 31, 2008 This beer is a clear ruby-amber color with a thick and foamy beige head that has good retention. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and piney hops. Medium-bodied and dry with flavors of hops, pine and spices along with a light malt base. The finish is moderately bitter at first but leaves a sweet malt aftertaste. This is a fairly enjoyable Amber all around.

Jan 30, 2008 Thanks to Terminus for picking this up for me. Pours dark amber with an uneven tan head. The aroma has toasted malt, butteriness, light hops and smooth nuttiness. Medium slick body with a small amount of soft carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of diacetyl, roasted caramel malt along with some oxidation. The finish has some sourness and oversharp fruit. Not too good.
