| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poures a thin head. Can smell the hop aroma mixed with malt. Taste like citrus, nutty caramel and something else I can’t tell what it is. Very Drinkable, I honestly expected less from Magic Hat, I actually enjoyed this one. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 7, 2008 I enjoyed a couple bottles of this hoppy, winter, seasonal ale. Noticeable citrus hop aroma, malty as well with a hint of coffee. Dark amber appearance with a large tan head and spotty lacing. Fresh and filling on the palate with a crisp hop bite. Great taste with a healthy dose of citrus American hops along with malt flavors of bread and caramel. A faint hint of coffee and smoke, very faint but it’s in there. Overall this beer resembles a standard American Pale Ale that contains a heartier/deeper malt profile. Drinkable and very fresh, I am impressed by Magic Hat with this one. shrubber85 (2881), Wallhalben, Germany

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 This beer had to grow on me. Should only be drank warmer. Pours a dark reddish amber with a nice cream colored head. Flavor is of a dark apricot and malts with a warming alcohol aftertaste. This almost tastes like a nice port wine at points. Very interesting brew. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
