Twelve ounce bottle courtesy of my nephew (thanks, Andy!). Small off white head with good lacing, enticing sweet spicy aroma with the taste being similar but with enough hops to keep things balanced. Good seasonal brew.

Bottle: Poured a dark amber color with a medium head. Aroma was that of hops and roasted malts. The taste was hoppy at first but finished with a smooth and sweet flavor. Overall, this was a very tasty beer. One I would drink again.

Beautiful dark amber pour. Mine had a Nice head and a great aroma. Great flavorful taste. I’ll have to checkout the brewery which is only a few hours away from where I live.

It had a brownish amber body with very small off white head. It had a very fruity aroma and a strange bitter finish which I wasn’t thrilled about.

12 oz. bottle. Clear coppery brown with a rather meager light beige head of short duration, but decent lace. Distinctly hoppy aroma with pine and bitter citrus over a base of burned sugar. Medium body and carbonation, some astringency, and a dry plate. Fairly bitter from the start, but there is some dark malty sweetness in the background. Finishes with a a lengthy, spicy bitterness. Certainly at the bitter and hoppy end in the amber ale spectrum.

Smells pleasantly hoppy with a nice strong roasted malt presence. Pours a deep dark red, almost brown with a small creamy off-white/tan head. Taste is strong hops initially, quickly giving way to a deep chocolaty roasted malt flavor. Wonderful balance of hops and dark malts

Pours a dark amber, almost red. Head was stable and white. Smelled strongly of hops and fruit. Tasted strongly of hops, with a little sweet malt flavor. The balance is definitely towards the hops however. I was surprised at how smooth the finish was. Overall, one of the best from Magic Hat.

(Bottle (best before end of 2/08) from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/lou’s-beverage-barn/4790.htm target=blank>Lou’s Beverage Barn) Heaps of hops...Pours darkish lightly hazy amber. Two fingers of nicely-formed, smooth-topped biscuit head. Aroma is heavy grapefruit and some pine. If you sniff hard there is light caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, medium-full. Flavor is all about the hops, barely any malt sneaks through. Heavy grapefruit and pine, about as hoppy an amber ale as I can recall. Probably even hoppier than FFF Pride and Joy. There is a caramel-vanilla malt base underneath but it is pretty well-hidden. Medium bitter. Very enjoyable for hopsters but I think it could stand a touch more balance.
