| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2007 This had the makings for a great amber, but came in a little short on the palate. Aroma was decently strong...stinging hops (almost astringent) and caramel malt. Pour was as beautiful as I’ve seen in a while. Dark amber with a tan head that grew for a minute and stayed the whole drink. Taste was mostly caramel malt with a hoppy aftertaste that didn’t hit until after the swallow. The carbonation was very weak. With a little heavier carbonation, it could have carried this beer into the 4s. Nice, though. brew4fun (168), West Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Wow! Pours red with tan head, diminishing from 1/2 finger to a ring around the rim. Minimal lacing. Aroma is big spicy, piney hops. I wish this is what air smelled like! Intoxicating on aroma alone...yumm. Moving on, taste is nicely bitter piney hop bite, with strong undertones of citrus. Sweet, malt subdued but OMG so good. Medium body with a dry finish that literally BEGS for another! My favorite offering from Magic Hat (so far). Silphium (2124), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Hazy dark copper-orange body, thin to medium buff head. Bitter, rindy hops punch the nose with grapefruit notes. Toasty malts are subdued. Sweet, toasty body with notes of berries and citrusy, bitter hops; pine cones. The body thins with warmth. All in all a pretty good beer. Slipstream (747), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Another weird label from Magic Hat, with a cosmic black motorcyclist on it. This is a reddish brown brew that laces the glass. It has a floral aroma and a robust, rustic flavor - hops, pine, tobacco, grass, and grapefruit. A teeny bit skunky perhaps, but still very good. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Thanks scoobyluv! This poured an amber color with a moderate white head. The aroma was caramel, grapefruit, and chocolate. The flavor was rather bitter for an amber ale. I tasted some citrus and caramel. Overall this is a pretty good session beer. garrison (455), Cin. city, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2007 From a twelve ounce bottle - This one pours a reddish amber fluid with a thin, off-white head and a sweet aroma. Tastewise, it’s up among the best amber ales I’ve tasted. JFGrind (1350), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA

Deep caramel malts, oak and fruit flavors all in the smooth Amber. raiderfost (158), virginia beach, Virginia, USA
