| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark, reddish amber with medium-sized tan head. A mildly hoppy aroma with pine and citrus notes. The flavor is more strongly hopped and, again, piny, citrusy and also a a little spicy. Solid but not spectacular. jb (1034), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Cidery looking stuff. Has the familiar hoppy pine forest aroma along with some caramel and toffee in the palate. Serviceable beer. Not bad by magic hat standards. TheBeerGod (3147), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber pour with a fading tanned head. Nose is hoppy and citrusy with light caramel notes. Some spicy hops in here as well. Taste is bit too high on the hops, both spicy and citrusy, and not enough malt and caramel. Light toffee-ish notes as well. Body is medium and moderately carbonated with a lingering bitterness. Finishes with more hops, citrus oils and fruits, soft spicy hops, light malt and caramel. Ends a bit better than it starts, but nothing out of the ordinary here. Borrrris (99), LINDENHURST, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2007 BOTTLE: Aroma pleasantly hoppy. Pours a cloudy chestnut with small tan head. Flavor is just as it says, a hoppy brown ale, with some other notes working in the background there where they belong. Body a bit thin though, as I’m discovering is a Magic Hat trait. No excuse for that at microbrew prices. With a little fuller body, this would be very nice - as is it’s just OK. BUY AGAIN? Maybe maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2007 Clear deek amber body with a small creamy white head. Caramel and floral hops aroma. Grassy hops flavor with some caramel in the end. radagast83 (1289), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 29, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber color. Very hoppy aroma, like brewery hoppy aroma. The flavor is less hoppy than one would expect, and it wasn’t too bad, though there wasn’t much to this except for the strong hop aromas. Funknmilla (593), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2007 Color is dark amber...smells hoppy...very tasty..hearty..nice malty fullness with just the right amount of hops...nothing too over the top but a pleasant mouth feel, a bit creamy with a bitter finish ...a bit of wateriness in the body, but i tend to notice that in general with their brews..it is in no way discouraging
