beaconstreet (810), Washington DC, USA Jan 8, 2007 Premier deliousness. Hoplastic. Great inspiring messages on the bottom of the bottlecaps too. Great stuff for winter.
nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 The aroma is hoppy with pine and citrus hops. The aroma also has caramel and lightly roasted malt. The appearance is amber brown with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall pretty good. car2nwallaby (7), USA does not count Jun 5, 2008 Hoppy aroma, nice amber color. There is some nice flavor, but it is overwhelmed by what in my opinion is excessive hopping. CelticBrew (427), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA May 30, 2008 Pours from 12 oz bottle, nice deep amber body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, strong metal, caramel malt and a soapy scent. medium-bodied; medium hoppy flavour, potent malt and an alcoholic twang that lasts for a while. Aftertaste shows some of the hops along with the bitterness and a touch of the metallic tastes, finished with malt goodness. Fairly average amber beer. shigadeyo (1342), Southwest Ohio Area, Ohio, USA May 19, 2008 5/17/2008: Magic Hat Roxy Rolles is a solid amber ale in every regard. It has a deep burnt amber color with a slight haze and a mostly lasting, foamy beige head. An unexpected and really inviting hoppy aroma fills the nostrils with sweet citrus, resiny pine, and grassy/herbal/earthy hop goodness. There is also a good amount of underlying roasty and toffee maltiness. The flavor mimics with aroma with additional coffee-like qualities coming through balanced by a substantial hop flavor and a good, balanced level of bitterness. The body of this beer is medium to medium-full is really smooth with a good, slightly creamy texture. The head initial head leaves a fine, prolific amount of lacing on the glass. Overall this is a really tasty brew. It is not the typical unexciting and average amber ale.

MrBeerFanatic (189), jamestown, New York, USA May 12, 2008 Has a hoppy and slightly malty taste with a decent bitter finish. An ok amber ale. Not impressed here.
