argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA Nov 1, 2006 (12oz bottle, best by Feb 08(?)) Crystal clear copper body topped by medium beige head, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, spruce, some lemon, apricot. Taste is medium sweet, spruce, caramel, light lemon. Light-medium body, some stickiness, some crispness. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Jan 11, 2007 Bottle, first beer of 2007! A good American Pale Ale, enough malt, dry mouthfeel, very good hopping bearing biting resins, both aroma and taste. Very pleasant, good to start the year with. bierkoning (4738), La Tropica, Netherlands Mar 13, 2008 Bottle from dkachur, thanks! Red amber color. Grapefruit, grassy hops and red berries in the aroma. Firm grassy oily flavor with grapefruit and red berries, flowing into a dry hopbitter aftertaste, with some strawberry fruit. Nice! CaptainCougar (4637), Rockville, Maryland, USA Feb 1, 2008 Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a nicely-lcaing froth of light tan head. Aroma has a nice fresh resiny hoppy character and some sweet caramel malty notes. Starts fairly full and toasty malty sweet with a grapefruity citrusy hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. Very drinkable and enjoyable version of the style.
