| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Bottle... Hazy dark orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Fruity, lightly earthy nose. Mild chocolate, evergreen, maple syrup, pink grapefruit and lots of tropical fruit. Tannic, fruity flavor with bitter grapefruit rind and tropical fruit. No sweetness; tongue numbing hops. Medium-bodied and astringent with mild carbonation. Bitter finish with a dash of salt. Much better than expected! bu11zeye (5442), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a nicely-lcaing froth of light tan head. Aroma has a nice fresh resiny hoppy character and some sweet caramel malty notes. Starts fairly full and toasty malty sweet with a grapefruity citrusy hop balance. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. Very drinkable and enjoyable version of the style.
