A nice hoppy amber ale that keeps its balance. Enough flavor to be interesting but low enough alcohol to make it a delicious session beer. Had with different foods many times and almost always pairs brilliantly! Very hoppy but not cloying. I was very impressed! well done.

I dont see why in hell a winter seasonal as they call it is only 5.8 alc by vol; I take it that
it is because of its ’amber ale’ guidelines...
Dont like the hops, prefer more citric , dont like the yeast reminds me of the Gearys yeast forget its name
do like the caramel maltyness...

Magic hat roxy rolle kis very close to a wheaT wine. Semi bitter, harsh, and a very hopsy after taste leaves the pallet full of flavor even after finishing the bottle. Great aroma, but lacking in a rich flavor. Not the best magic hat, but definatley a good seasonal beer.

It has a good taste and overall I would say that it has an ok appearance. I did think that it does have a funny aroma.. over all though it is a good beer.

Picked this up as part of winter seasonal 12-pack at charlotte nc supermarket.
pour a deep amber with very slight orange hues. head is yellow/off-white and pillowy. Showed decent, short-lived white lacing.
Aromas of orange peel and floral/herbal notes of hops, maybe something almost pine tree-esque. Very subtlle cat pee in the background, but not enough to fault the odor.
Flavor began with a bit of malt/yeast up front, followed by some floral notes and bitterness from the hops. Perfume/rubbing alcohol taste ruined the hops for me, though. Medium+, round mouthfeel leading to a medium length finish with trailing bitterness and slight bread notes.
pleasant overall, but certain notes hit my palate the wrong way. Bitterness wasn’t balanced by anything for me, I suppose.

On tap. Great balance between hops and malt. Excellent creamy head. Reddish color, perfect for that first one in front of the fireplace on a cold afternoon.

Deep amber color. Pours a nice off color head that leaves behind a network of attractive lacing. Although some malt can be detectied the hops make the strongest statement in both aroma and taste. Overall a very tasty and drinkable seasonal ale.
