mansquito (608), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Feb 18, 2008 Pours a dark amber with a tannish head. Smells of the malts. Hoppy taste with some malts in it. Kinda sweet on the side. Not very complex, but not bad by any stretch of the imagination.
AgentSteve (736), Livermore, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bonus beer from ? Pours attractive opaque ruddy caramel color with a halo of a cream colored head. The nose is dried fruits, brown sugar and sweet malt. The flavor goes much more earthy and a touch bitter. The finish is strangely a bit vegital. Damico (50), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 This amber ale doesn’t have the best aroma or flavor, but can be enjoyed if you like a slightly hopped ale. With an amber color and small head, it’s not the most impressive brew. nick76 (2015), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 The aroma is hoppy with pine and citrus hops. The aroma also has caramel and lightly roasted malt. The appearance is amber brown with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall pretty good. car2nwallaby (7), USA does not count Jun 5, 2008 Hoppy aroma, nice amber color. There is some nice flavor, but it is overwhelmed by what in my opinion is excessive hopping. CelticBrew (450), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA May 30, 2008 Pours from 12 oz bottle, nice deep amber body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, strong metal, caramel malt and a soapy scent. medium-bodied; medium hoppy flavour, potent malt and an alcoholic twang that lasts for a while. Aftertaste shows some of the hops along with the bitterness and a touch of the metallic tastes, finished with malt goodness. Fairly average amber beer.
