Mr_Stitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 9, 2008 WOW! This is an excellent beer! Bottle. Pours nice deep amber color with a medium size white head that left ok lacing around the glass. Aroma was hoppy and filled with the smells of malts and spices. Taste is great, clean and bitter with hints of the malts flowing through. It has a crisp clean finish to go along with its great taste. A beer that has not only made it into my rotation but one that I will be hard pressed to take out of rotation.
Imaena (243), Portland, Maine, USA Aug 22, 2008 Bottle form Alex 08’ Pours a hazy brown amber color with a beige head. Malty nose with slight syrupy sweetness coming through. Hopp bitterness and subtle sweetness. Finish is dry and funky. AgentSteve (757), Livermore, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bonus beer from ? Pours attractive opaque ruddy caramel color with a halo of a cream colored head. The nose is dried fruits, brown sugar and sweet malt. The flavor goes much more earthy and a touch bitter. The finish is strangely a bit vegital. Damico (50), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 This amber ale doesn’t have the best aroma or flavor, but can be enjoyed if you like a slightly hopped ale. With an amber color and small head, it’s not the most impressive brew. nick76 (2031), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 The aroma is hoppy with pine and citrus hops. The aroma also has caramel and lightly roasted malt. The appearance is amber brown with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall pretty good. car2nwallaby (7), USA does not count Jun 5, 2008 Hoppy aroma, nice amber color. There is some nice flavor, but it is overwhelmed by what in my opinion is excessive hopping.
