3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Magic Hat Saint Saltan Gose is a nice session version of this German style. Pours nice with a decent head and amber color. Aroma is similar to a wheat beer. Taste is also reminiscent of a good wheat beer but with a slight sour note and a hint of smokiness.Saint Saltan is a tasty Gose that you might look forward to every year.

Tallahassee, FL - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle - part of their Spring Fever variety pak. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a tight white head and nice bubble action. Aroma has a slight saltiness to it, hint of fresh lake water. Flavor is smooth with some slight bready notes, some salt water, a hint of yeast. Smooth mouthfeel. Not overly flavorful, but no flaws.

Interesting slightly malty and faintly salty beverage. Just a hint of caramel sweetness, but a somewhat thin mouthfeel.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle from the Spring Fever sampler case. Almost no taste of saline and almost nothing else taste wise. Very disappointing from a brewery who can do much better as seen in their other offerings. Avoid and spend the cash on something else.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A yellow beer with a white head and pieces if salt floating around. I enjoy when breweries go out on a limb, but I don't think I like when they go out to sea. It tastes like a pilsner mixed with a wheat beer, but the salt leaves your mouth dry like sea water. Not the best invention.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a rather small head. Nose is actually a little skunky like a cheap lager. Taste is much the same, actually. I hope I got a bad bottle because this is a TERRIBLE example of the style.
